Chapter 7 gave me a lot of insight on how to cite correctly, when to use quotes. paraphrase, and summarize. The examples given in the book were helpful because sometimes I still get confused on how to do in text citations. The chapter talked about when it is appropriate to paraphrase a source. It emphasized to make sure students use their own words when paraphrasing, and to still cite in either MLA or APA style. It says to paraphrase when you do not want to use a direct quote from the author, and when your audience is a lot different then the sources audience.
