1. The main example of subversion that the author mentions is "Go the Fuck to Sleep", a mock children's book to explain the frustration that parents go through when trying to put their young children to bed. She also mentions subversions such as Tom Sawyer and Where the Wild Things Are. Two more examples of subversion include the movie "The Dictator" and the show "Big Mouth". The Dictator is an inappropriate, comedic movie which pokes fun at political films and shows the perspective of the dictator himself, and shows his misadventures and lack of intelligence as a leader of a country. Big Mouth is a cartoon on Netflix which comes off as a kid's show, with children as main characters going through relatable problems relating to puberty. However, it is extremely crude and explicit, and talks about sex and hormones in detail that makes adults laugh because of the typically unspoken truth, but is not appropriate for kids.
2. I personally love the idea of Go the Fuck to Sleep because it sheds a comedic light onto the process of parents who have stubbron children who don't want to go to bed at night. The target audience isn't children, but more focused toward irritated parents who can read this book and feel a sense of relief and light-heartedness of the situation of trying to get their children to sleep at night.

I also agree that "Go the Fuck to Sleep" was funny to read. It is definitely more targeted to parents who can relate to putting stubborn kids to bed and laugh about it.
