1. Some subversions the author mentions are "Go the Fuck to Sleep", which is told in a comical way about how a father deals with trying to make his children go to bed, and the ABZ Book which tells children to do bad things as a parody. These subversions include and irony and are a spin-off to create humor. One subversion that I have personally enjoyed is the 2012 movie 21 Jump Street, which is a funny movie based on the original in 1987. The new movie uses comedian actors and includes a lot of funny scenes, making it a subversion of the original. Another subversion is the whole Scary Movie series because it is a parody and making fun of the basic plots of scary movies, such as Scream.
2. I think "Go the Fuck to Sleep" was funny to read because I enjoy parodies and humor. I think the targeted audience is for parents who can relate to putting their children to bed and can get a laugh out of the comedy in the book.
