Ayhan stated, the risk of prisoners committing suicide in France are much
higher than other countries. The writer uses an analytical approach by
conducting new research on prisoners who were admitted between September 2013
to December 2014.Through the research found, out of the 707 prisoners that were
observed, an average of 13.2% had a risk of suicide with 14% having moderate
risk and 15.1% with a high risk. However, the majority of the prisoners had a
low risk of 41.9%. Therefore, the article concluded that prisoners in France
are not at a high risk of suicide; they are at a lower risk.
