After reading this chapter, a lot of the information seemed familiar to me already due to the library day we had in class. It talks a lot about sources; what kinds of sources are out there, and when to use them. I find myself to mainly use general sources in my writing compared to the others I read about. Also, I found it very interesting that we need to consider the audience, purpose, and rhetoric appeals of the sources when researching and writing a paper. I usually think of an analytical piece when it comes to genre, audience, and purpose (and things of that sort), but I thought it was interesting that it is also good to recognize these elements in research as well.

I also never considered how a rhetorical appeal, audience, and purpose can affect a source until I read this chapter.
