Ayhan
Gulen speaks on factors leading up to the suicide of prisoners, in French
Guiana. He finds that there is an “importance of promptly identifying and
treating psychiatric disorders,” seeing as they ultimately were the most
prevalent risk factors. This study gives a strong amount of statistics, such as
“14.3% of the inmates suffered from depression.” Using the (MINI) Mini
International Neuropsychiatric Interview gave this study statistics that help
in the argument of proving which factors can begin to show signs of suicide.
