1. I thought this text was really interesting to read because it kind gave me advice on how to criticize someone else's paper. Sometimes I'm too nervous to give feedback because I don't want to be to harsh about, but at the same time I want to help improve their paper. It also helped me think of other things to look for in the person's paper, rather than just minor grammar or spelling errors.
2. I think all the strategies are good things to keep in mind while reading other papers. I thought the one strategy about reading the paper in a certain way. Rather than just reading for errors you should read the paper and ask does it follow the instructions of the assignment? The writer can fix their minor corrections later on, so reading the actual context itself can help the writer even more. Also, another strategy to keep in mind while doing peer review, was to be careful with how you give your feedback. You want to give good constructive criticism, but you can't be too harsh about it because it could discourage the writer.
3. In high school we did peer review a lot, but no one would really give feedback so it didn't do much for my writing. But last semester my teacher had us do peer review and it seemed to be more affective because she graded it. I think this made the other students actually respond with feedback. Personally, I like to read others' papers because sometimes it sparks more ideas to improve my paper.
